Learning is essential in helping shape a successful future for ourselves and the next generation. We are fortunate to have been a part of several projects ranging from higher education campuses through preschool imaginative play. For school commissions, we always start by making sure there are clear visual connections between uses. It’s so important for wayfinding, safety, and successful circulation to be able to see where you are headed. Next, we encourage a hierarchy of circulation routes, open spaces and small group spaces; often around a central gathering space with complimentary scale to adjacent architecture. Lastly, we look to provide shade were needed and specify a palette of durable plant material for reduced maintenance.
