Healthcare

We take our healthcare projects seriously, using a healing garden approach which emphasizes texture (touch), color (sight), movement (sounds), floral (smell), and at times edible (taste) materials. Hardscape material choices are especially important for interest, textural change, and glare reduction. On healthcare projects, above other sectors of work, adhering to ADA and other local accessibility standards is incredibly important. Working closely with architects, we provide enhanced view corridors from patient spaces; sight lines to landscape have been shown to increase successful patient outcomes. Our designs also provide respite for healthcare professionals, intentionally carving out smaller, intensive landscape areas for recharge and stress release.
